I'm a 27-year-old Mechanical Engineer from Porto, Portugal. I finished my PhD in March 2022 👩🏽‍🎓and I'm currrently working as a postoctoral researcher at INEGI. Most of my work is with finite element analysis involving complex materials that need the definition of specific set of equations to be characterized and modeled. I focused in soft tissues and programmed several user-defined subroutines for ABAQUS finite element software.

In doing this, I discovered my passion for programming 👩🏽‍💻 I started to dedicate my free time to learn python and machine learning techiques and my aim now is to become a Data Scientist. I really enjoy to learn and be challenged and I'm excited with the future.

As for hobbies, I love to read, particularly fiction. I was an artistic rollerskater for more than 15 years and always enjoyed playing sports. Now I love to run and I started surfing lessons last summer 🛼 🏄. I really enjoy travelling, which I was very lucky to do growing up, visiting countries such as Australia, New Zealand, Nepal, China and India. Here is a picture of me climbing Pico, in the Azores 🏔.
